Room with a View

As a developer, finding the right location on which I will build a development is critical. I don’t just build anywhere and always have my eye out for the next location that might be just right.

Generally speaking, I always search for land that will give my units a view and also be close to amenities.

Having an outlook is good for the eventual owners but for me it’s part of the whole ambience of what I want to create. This might sound strange, but I have to be able to imagine myself living in that space – and the eventual design comes as a result of the feelings I get from the location and its surroundings.

The surrounding neighbourhood is important to me as well, and then creating a design that will complement the streetscape both now and into the future is essential.

My buildings need to be functional and timeless so that the visual appeal never dissipates.

The view may be the ocean, the Maroochy River as it merges with the ocean or, as in the case of my Buderim developments, have views for as far as the eye can see down to the Glass House Mountains.

Where there are visual constraints (such as from a property next door), I design the building to minimise those outlooks and where it cannot be avoided I will add in design elements that soften the outlook and enhance the interior space.

With most of my developments I have been fortunate enough to have buildings that allow for a view of sorts from nearly every floor. The higher you go, obviously the better the view, but most of my buildings are so close to the water, or with the position of the building perched on a hill, the outlook is maximised from every front facing unit.

And when you have a stunning outlook, who wants to sit inside all day? Large sliding doors in my units allow the interior and exterior balconies spaces to merge as one. I create indoor/outdoor rooms that seamlessly increase the spaciousness of the area, so my new owners can get the most out of the beautiful Sunshine Coast weather all year round.

For investors looking to invest in residential property, a view is appealing to future tenants and will assist you to maximise the rent you earn on the unit.

Pinnacle at Picnic Point will be finished later this year, and I have a few units remaining. This stunning new complex is close to the new Maroochydore CBD, 15 minutes to the airport, and is right on the Maroochy River, where it merges with the ocean – making the beautiful outlook one that changes daily.

I have more property plans to unveil in the coming months and all have stunning views to maximise the return on your investment. If you would like to know more drop me a line or subscribe to our newsletter so we can keep you up to date.
